So here I am. To be honest, I didn't think I would be here. But I am and I think I'm ready to start our new normal.
After catching a bad cold from my dad and giving it to my mom with what seemed like a million obstacles in between, Bruce and I are now with Brandon and Katsu in our new (tiny) apartment! :) It's definitely a change as I expected, but I think once we finish unboxing and figure out storage solutions, it'll start feeling like home. On a side note, Bruce has been LOVING it since it feels like most of our place is filled with his toys! Haha!
Can you believe I've gone through four workspaces in the past two years? (Workspaces 1, 2, 3, 4) And the first photo is my current one which makes five! We still have tons of boxes to go through (those blue stickers on the wall are the ones we've unpacked so far) and every open space has been a dumping ground, but it's a nice feeling being able to settle in. I'm excited to start working on tons of personalized orders and to start crafting again. You won't believe the one thing I forgot in Orange County though - my sewing machine! Of all the things, right? But at least I have my computer. ;) My mom was sweet enough to ship it to me so it'll be here by next week. Phew!
Well, I've got lots of work to do this weekend, including stocking up our fridge! :D Have a wonderful weekend & I'll be back with the regular postings next week!
Lots of Smiles, Akiyo
P.S. Thank you to all my friends who checked up on me during this crazy time. I read this post on Design Sponge this morning and it made me realize I'm so lucky to have an amazing support group! Thank you for letting me know that you're there, for offering help, and giving me a hand. <3
